Create depth and dimension on cards, pages, and projects with the texture paste stenciling technique. Club Scrap staffer Julie Heyer and member Lisa Dolezal have teamed up once again to get the challenge started!

Dahlia Remix Jumbo Stencil - Julie's Card

Blend Ocean Blue Stencil Butter and homemade texture paste with a palette knife in a small dish. Place  the Dahlia Remix Jumbo Stencil onto mixed media paper and apply the mixture.

The colors and textures are reminiscent of water being splashed in a puddle.

Dry the paste with a heat tool  to create a bubbly and blistered surface on the texture paste.

Let's take a look at the finished card.

Lagoon Fish Scale Stencil - Lisa's Card

Add a tablespoon of texture paste to a craft mat. Sprinkle the surface of the paste with Pewter Color Burst Pigment powder and mix thoroughly. Spread the paste evenly over the stencil with a palette knife. Wipe off any excess paste from the stencil with warm, soapy water.
