We knew we'd assembled a stunning collection when we submitted the artwork for printing, but our vision was confirmed when the palettes of gorgeous printed papers were delivered to the warehouse. Allow me to introduce you to November's collection--Moroccan Spice!
A NOTE FROM TRICIA
We have a little saying here at Club Scrap: "Retreat season begins in October and ends in October." As we close this chapter on a wonderful 2015 event, we are already looking forward to planning for next year. Mark your calendar for August 4-7 or October 6-9, 2016.
November is always a busy month with several local events. Karen starts out at the Paper Discovery Center for our very first "Card Club" meeting on November 2 at 6:30pm. She'll be working with Kim Scheidermayer from Arnold Grummer to make handmade paper and then will help students incorporate the handmade sheet into four beautiful "thank you" cards.
Next, Karen and I will spend November 12-15 at Silver Birch Ranch for the annual retreat to the North Woods. Registration is still open, and there are still ten spots available.
The following week, Tricia will be at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison. WI, for the first time on November 18 at 6:30pm with the Notecard Giftbox Holder class. After heading back to Club Scrap, we'll pick up a trailer and three additional staffers (Brenda, Deb and Karen), and drive right back to Madison for the One of a Kind Stamp and Scrapbook Expo on November 20-22. Then, on November 23, we will take a well-deserved, long nap.
WHAT'S AHEAD?
The ideas for December's Navigation collection were presented to us by Nadine T., Diane D., and Karen M. more than a year ago, and the rich color palette was selected at our planning meeting back in September of 2014. After more than a year of anticipation, we are pursuing a vintage "nautical" style for the imagery. Tune in later this month for a spoiler! (For an aeronautical art style, pick up the Wanderlust kit released at the 2015 Retreat.)

Kay used the following ink colors when creating handmade cards with the Moroccan Spice stamps: Metallic Gold and Silver (NEW!), Amethyst, Moss, Topaz, Ruby, Earth, India Black, and White Pigment.
I was able to complete the fourteen 12x12 pages in record time due to the way the patterned and plain papers coordinated together--like the perfect spice blend! I'll share more about the layouts tomorrow.
The Moroccan Spice Greetings to Go set is simply gorgeous. The set of twelve cards includes four 3.5x5" easel cards, four gate-fold cards with a decorative band closure, and four thoughtful 4.25x.5" cards.
We hope you experience lots of creative joy with this elegant beauty!
