I'm adding a bit of spice to my greeting cards this month with Moroccan Spice Unmounted Stamps. I used each UM stamp sheet to create several cards.
COLLECTION UM
The Collection UM stamp sheet features a nice mix of images and phrases. This first card showcases several of the images on a custom-colored panel.
Here's how it's done:
1. Use foam Ink Applicator to apply Club Scrap Hybrid ink in Topaz, Orchid, Ruby and Leaf to Ivory Plain.
2. Stamp background images and medallion image with Orchid ink.
3. Fussy-cut the medallion image. Adhere medallion and matted sentiment using Foam Adhesive Circles to add dimension.
To duplicate the card above, stamp image with Black India Ink, then color with a White Pitt Pastel pencil.
This card uses the same coloring technique as above, but instead of white, I used several coordinating colors of Pitt Pastel pencils.
This card features images and a sentiment stamped with White Pigment Ink. Isn't that a great quote?
BORDERS & BACKGROUNDS
Gold Metallic Ink is gorgeous on Purple Plain.
Try using the image stamps to create faux tiles.
Coloring with Pitt Pastels makes the details in the medallion image really pop.
GREETING UM
I had fun experimenting with the border image from the Greeting UM. Use a paper mask to stamp perfect "mitered" corners. Embellish with glitter glue if desired.
For a rich effect on the Purple Plain, stamp the mitered border with Gold Metallic ink.
For a little something different, try several phrases from the Greeting UM on a single card.
ART NOUVEAU
The Silver Metallic Ink showcases the detail of the pattern stamp. (As you can see, both the Gold and Silver Metallic inks look amazing on this paper collection!)
More detail work with the White Pitt Pastel pencil.
Another great option is to add several ink colors to one image. Remember to start with the lightest ink and go darker from there.
I hope you're inspired to add a touch of spice to your cards, too. Thanks for stopping by!
