Since the January 2017 Color Me Happy kit was inspired by batik designs and artwork, this month's challenge is to create a project that features batik or faux batik techniques. I shared a few different ways to achieve a faux batik look in a post earlier this month. Once I started playing, I couldn't stop!

Ink Jumbo collage stamp with Watermark ink, stamp onto Green Plain. Heat emboss with clear EP. Use ink applicator to apply Leaf and Peridot ink. Wipe away excess. Place artwork face down on a paper towel, use a craft iron to remove embossing.

This card uses the same technique with the Art Nouveau sun image on Yellow Plain with Tangerine ink.

Stamp Jumbo collage image in watermark ink onto White Plain. Use a heat tool to dry ink. Apply Lagoon and Leaf ink to panel using a brayer. Wipe away excess.

I hope you'll give this technique a try!

Karen
