Greetings! Today I'll share how to make this cool three-dimensional card using the Color Me Happy flower collage from the Jumbo Unmounted Stamps. This is my take on the popular "bendy" card--with a diorama twist.

Supplies needed:

  • 12x5.25” White (Card Base)
  • 1x3.5” White (Closure Tab)
  • 3.5x5” Teal (Inside Panel)
  • Markers
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments
  • Craft knife and mat

To assemble:

1. Score White Card Base at 4” and 7.75”.

2. Score closure tab at .5” on short side.

3. Cut a 1.25” vertical slit .5” from left score on the middle panel of scored Card Base. Center the slit from top to bottom. Make sure 4” card flap is on the left before cutting, see illustration below.

4. Stamp left and right panels of Card Base with Collage Stamp in CS® India Ink.

5. Color images with your favorite medium. Trim both stamped images to create a layered shadowbox look. Tip: A craft knife and cutting mat work best.

6. Attach small flap of closure tab to the backside of right hand stamped card base, centered from top to bottom. Align scored edge of tab closure with outside edge of Card Base.

7. Adhere Teal inside panel to center inside of card using adhesive only at the top and bottom to allow closure tab to slip between Card Base and Teal panel.

8. Embellish as desired.

To close card:

Fold in non-tabbed flap, tucking it into scored fold. Close tabbed flap, tucking closure tab into slit on back side of Card Base.

If you still have questions about how the card structure comes together, just search "bendy fold card" for additional tutorials online.
