I've been having a lot of fun with the You Go, Girl special release. The kit makes eight pages perfect for documenting adventures with your besties. But did you know it also makes awesome cards?
It's easy to transform the You Go, Girl Page Kit into 20 greeting cards with the help of Club Scrap's card making formulas.
COLOR-BLOCKED CARDS
Begin by making ten cards using Tricia’s FREEBIE Color-blocked Card Formula.
Gather the appropriate number of papers. In this case, five different colors are needed.
A=White Circle Print
B=Pink Duplex Plain
C=Orange Duplex Plain
D=Light Gray Plain
E=Black Plain
After trimming and sorting the papers, assemble the cards. Add cutaparts, embellishments and stamped sentiments as desired. (All sentiments from the Daffodils stamps.)
Make ten more cards using formulas from Assembly Line Cardmaking Idea Deck Vol. 2.
2 OF HEARTS
A=White Circle Print
B=Pink/Orange Duplex Plain
5 OF SPADES
A=White Block Print
B=Pink/Orange Duplex Plain
ACE OF DIAMONDS***
A=Light Gray
B=White Block Print
C=Pink/Orange Duplex Plain
***For the final four cards, use the Ace of Diamonds card formula, substituting the 8.5x11 Paper C for a 12x12 as shown below.
Trim vertically at 11, 10, and 5". Cut each 5x12 horizontally at 9.75, 7.5, and 3.75".
And there you have it, 20 witty and sassy greeting cards to send your soul sisters.
Keep in mind, all of our special edition collections and monthly page kits contain at least twelve 12x12 papers and cutaparts, along with photo mats and embellishments. You can easily apply this combination of formulas to any of them! I hope you'll give it a try.
Happy card making!
