Mariachi Bonus Formula Sketch
Designing a versatile two-page spread is easy: Download the January 2023 Bonus Formula. Gather six 12x12 papers in coordinating colors and trim them according to the instructions. Arrange the cut pieces as shown in the sketch above.
January Bonus Page Formula - Before Photos
To recreate my layout, use the following paper assignments: Mariachi Card Kit Print (A), Green (B), Blue (C), Hot Summer Red (D), and two Gossamer Black Plain (E).
January Bonus Layout - After Photos
The color palette reminded me of Christmas, so I dug into photos taken throughout December. These pics of the girls chopping down our Christmas tree were a great match. Due to the orientation of the photos, I chose to rotate the left page 90 degrees (counter clockwise) so I'd have more space available for vertical images.
In lieu of two smaller photos, trim a vertical photo to 3x5-7/8" to fit the space created by the two stacked mats.
On the right side, crop a photo to 2.75x2.25" to fit the small blue mat in the upper right corner.
Trim the 2x5 scrap (Paper D) in half at 2.5". Draw pencil lines with a grid ruler to create a spot for journaling.
