Make plain paper pop with watermark stamping! We all know that Club Scrap's Watermark Ink is great when heat embossing. But did you know that this technique adds a bit of interest without adding actual dimension to the pages? It's super simple to do, let's get started.
Watermark Stamping with the Mariachi Bonus Page Formula
To recreate my layout, gather the following papers: Mariachi Yellow (A), Red (B), Green (C), Blue (D) and two Swirl Prints (E).
Trim the papers according to the detailed cutting instructions. Dry fit all of the pieces following the sketch as a guide. It was at this point I realized the layout looked a little plain - the papers needed a little something "extra".
Watermark Stamping Technique
Select the Mariachi swirl stamp to compliment the images in the background papers.
Determine which panels to stamp. Stamp each piece repeatedly with watermark ink to cover the entire background with the swirl image.
Don't forget to stamp the skinny green strip, too!
The difference is subtle, but as you can see, the stamping makes a big impact on the finished pages.
Page Assembly Tips
Add a bit of blue ribbon to both sides of the layout.
I love Tricia's ribbon tricks. Wrap the blue ribbon pieces around the corners of the Red photo mat. Secure on the back with clear tape.
Trim a single photo into two and add to the Red photo mats at the bottom of the left page.
Stamp sentiments directly on the layout with India Ink. Add a loop of blue ribbon under the adjacent photo to accent the sentiment.
