You will love the potential of the Explorer's Journal, one of the projects debuted during our 20th Anniversary Cruise and included in the Cruise in a Box.
While the project may seem a bit overwhelming, I've worked out a step-by-step assembly process that cleverly uses "cue cards" and the accordion pocket file to keep track of each piece and section of the interactive book. The journal is very sturdy and made with heavy duty cover weight paper.
Guests on our 20th Anniversary Cruise started the journal on the first day of workshops and completed the final steps during a "workshop round-up" on our last day at sea.
You'll receive an instruction download and links to a two-part video tutorial with this kit. Part one focuses on preparing all of the pieces needed, and the second part walks you through the assembly of each section.
You'll need a 12" paper trimmer, ScorPal (1/8ths), an Envelope Punch Board (we used an adorable miniature version on the ship), and CS® Bookbinding Glue in a needle-tipped applicator.
Decorated Explorer's Journal
Once the book is completed, grab a Navigation Remix Page Kit and decorate the outside covers and each section of the book.
Simply measure a panel of the journal, subtract 1/4" from each number, and trim the paper to fit. There is more than enough paper and art elements in the Navigation Remix kit to do a thorough job of completing the book. (As you'll see later, any CS® Page Kit will do!)
Explorer's Journal: "Stone" Version
In order to ensure the journal coordinates well with all CS® collections, we've also made the project kit available in a cool color tone. Simply choose the "Stone" color in the drop-down menu in the cart.
