Bookworm Photo Twistabout
When I first saw the Bookworm Page Kit, I couldn't resist the idea of creating a mini album from a book-themed kit. If one "mini" is good, then FOUR must be better, right?
To replicate my project, gather a Bookworm page kit and a Photo Twistabout Components kit in Black. Construct the project using the following paper assignments:
Paper A = Pattern Plain
Paper B = Green
Paper C = Burgundy
Paper D = Navy
Paper E = Library Print
Paper F = Clock Print
Are you ready to take a closer look at the finished project?
Two sides of the spinning box are open to reveal space for mini album storage.
The two remaining sides offer tons of decorating potential.
After the box is assembled, ink all exposed book board edges with India ink.
The top of the box serves as a "third wall" just waiting to be embellished. Two-part border strip sentiment cutaparts frame the silver knob perfectly.
The metal ring hardware is functional and decorative. Attach the book charms (included in the Bookworm page kit) to two of the handles.
The spinning storage is home to four individual mini books. Each is covered in different prints and decorated with different cutaparts and embellishments.
Decorate the inside cover of each book with a library card (cropped to size) inserted into a pocket. Enhance with a mini paper clip and cutapart strip.
Each book's interior features a mix of trifold-style and regular (landscape) pages. Trim remaining papers and cutaparts for use as panels and photo mats.
The inside trifold pages offer more decorating potential. Trim cutaparts as necessary to fit the available space.
