The Scandinavia Lite Kit has shipped and I've already enjoyed experimenting with a variety of techniques with the Bird Stencil.
Tricia featured the Bird Stencil on page eight of her Scandinavia Lite layouts.
Bird Stencil Techniques
Paper Piecing
1. Apply color to the Bird Stencil on Blue paper with Ocean Ink and an Ink Applicator tool.
2. Trim around the body of the bird with scissors.
3. Stencil the wing portion of the bird on Red paper with Carnation Ink.
4. Trim the wing with scissors.
5. Attach the bird and wing to a card panel trimmed from the 12x12 White Lite Print.
6. Lay the stencil over the top of the paper pieces and add details with a white gel pen.
7. Add a bit of sparkle to the details with glitter glue.
Love Birds On a Scrapbook Page
1. Stencil the bird into the upper left corner of the Gray paper with White Pigment Ink. Clean the stencil and flip to reverse the image. Repeat the steps to create a mirror image of the bird in the upper right side of the paper.
2. Highlight the outline of the stenciled bird with a white gel pen.
3. Reposition the stencil details over the image and add another layer of White Pigment Ink.
4. Highlight the smaller stenciled details with a white gel pen.
5. Add color to small areas with chalks.
6. Complete the page with nested photo mats.
Take some time to experiment with these versatile Bird Stencil techniques.
