Create a hand-stitched wedding journal as a special keepsake using Club Scrap supplies!
Beth's daughter is getting married in January, so I made a French Link Stitch Journal for the couple. The black twill components kit pairs beautifully with white book cloth (Soft 8-pack) for an elegant look.
Construct the book using the Wedding page kit, adding papers matching the couple's color scheme. In this case, the colors are burgundy and gray.
Follow the cutting formulas as outlined in the instructions, dividing the papers in half: Trim one sheet each per the "dark paper" formula, and one sheet each using the "light paper" diagram.
The stitched spine is so striking in these colors!
I just love the look of the inside pages. Elements from the cutaparts embellish inside and out.
Use a craft knife and mat to trim part of the flower image on the ivory print and tuck a photo mat underneath.
Add smaller cutaparts to the spacers for added dimension and interest.
Color the black and white artwork using pencils, markers or other medium to match the bride's palette.
A photo of the couple can be added to the open space on the front cover.
I hope Beth's daughter and future son-in-law will enjoy this keepsake for many years to come!
Happy crafting!
