How can it be almost the end of April? Tricia and I finished the layouts from the Magnolia Page Kit, and they're bloomin' gorgeous!

Magnolia Page Kit

Even though each Club Scrap Page Kit creates eight coordinating pages, it's not necessary to scrap them for a single occasion or event. This month, Tricia completed two pages with her photos, and I scrapped the remaining six pages with photos from three different occasions.

Isn't this a lovely layout? I can't imagine any photos that wouldn't look amazing on these pages.

Why mess with perfection? No changes to the layout were needed. As you can see, the colors in the photos coordinate perfectly with this color palette. Even cherry blossoms look amazing on Magnolia prints!

Get creative with your cropping! Here, Tricia had two photos to fit the height of the mats, but she adjusted the width. Placed over the twin mats, they still look great, even when they extend past the edge of the mat.

I know a lot of folks view this as a "feminine" kit. Well, I'm here to demonstrate that these pages are great for so much more.

Photos of the entire family - including two "boys" - look fantastic on this two page spread.

Whether you want to squeeze in more photos, or you are dealing with a case of "verticalitis", cropping two photos to fit a single mat is always a great option. Simply crop the photos so they are 1/4" smaller than the mat, and subtract 1/8" from one photo to allow for space between them. (The 8x8 grid ruler is an absolute MUST HAVE for photo cropping!)

The April collection is obviously perfect for spring memories...

...but how about photos from downtown Chicago in the middle of winter? The colors of the girls' coats are a perfect match for the color palette.

It's easy to sneak in extra photos by putting two smaller photos on a single mat. Grab that 8x8 grid ruler to help ensure proper sizing.

This two-page spread features my pal Oliver and his twin sisters. Yes, you CAN scrap "boy" photos on these pages.

Double the fun! In lieu of a single 4x6 photo, trim vertical photos to fit the 4.25x6.25 space. Now you have room for four pics in place of two.

I look forward to seeing what memories you choose to scrap on the Magnolia collection. Be sure to share your work with fellow Club Scrap enthusiasts on our Chat group on Facebook.
