The Folk Art Page Kit features a warm color palette and charming artwork perfect for scrapping a wide variety of memories.

Folk Art Page Kit

Just like our monthly kits, it's not necessary to use all eight pages for a single event or occasion. For best results, treat each two-page spread independently when choosing your photos.

Layout 1 & 2

I couldn't resist scrapping these photos of Patrick playing in the snow. As luck would have it, his snow jacket and red hat coordinated beautifully with this two page spread!

Rather than crop any of the photos to a smaller size, I chose to trim a single photo to 3x5.75" to span the space created by the twin mats on the left page.

The open space in the corner of the right page was perfect for adding an extra photo.

Layout 3 & 4

Since I'm fairly caught up on my personal scrapbooking, I dove into a stack of photos from my friend, Oliver, and his twin sisters. The "gold" color of kids' outfits coordinated nicely with the Folk Art color palette.

Since I only had four photos from this occasion, I opted to rearrange the elements a bit: On the left, I swapped the round "flower" sentiment cutapart for the one on Layout 7 & 8 and skipped the ransom note-style sentiment.

I stacked the two 3.5x3" Teal mats next to the Ivory (skipping the double-mat to preserve as much as the photo as possible). Both 3.25x6" photos span the space created by the stacked mats. Punched Red hearts fit the Teal mats below the buttons.

On the right page, rotate the 4.25x6.25 Gold Photo Mat to be vertical, and move the 4.25x6.25 Teal Photo Mat to the lower right corner. A fancy heart die cut fills the open space on the journaling cutapart.

Layout 5 & 6

Do you "see" Christmas when you look at this kit? Well, I did! Photos of Oliver, Luna and Thea visiting with the Grinch fit this spread perfectly.

No changes were made to this layout, except adding one extra photo in the lower left corner.

Layout 7 & 8

The last two pages feature photos of the kids at a special event at Gather in Green Bay. Activities included a photo op, cookie decorating and breakfast with Santa.

The round "flower" sentiment cutapart is topped with a Teal circle (die cut from one of the unused mats from 5 & 6) and a Red die cut heart.

I hope you enjoyed this virtual tour of my finished Folk Art layouts. I also hope my tips inspire you to "think outside the box" when scrapping your next page kit. Never be afraid to make small changes to customize the layouts to fit your needs.

We love to see your finished layouts, too! Please consider sharing your completed projects on the Club Scrap Chat Facebook Group. It's the place to get inspired, and inspire others.
