We had three goals during our time together. First, learn how to make a double page spread with minimal scraps using papers from your stash. Secondly, learn about some tools, tricks and tips for professional looking pages. And finally, discover the ins and outs of a Club Scrap membership. I hope to answer any follow-up questions you may have. Read on!
Page Formula and Download
Click the link below to download and print the page formula. You can use it again and again with papers from your stash. You'll need five sheets of 12x12" paper to complete each double page spread.
JUNE 2020 EXPO @HOME PAGE FORMULA
Here's a second look at the layout we created together. Take liberties to swap the placement of the colors and arrangement of the pieces to suit your needs. The page was made with papers from June's Vintage Americana collection.
Next, I showed you a layout Karen created with the sweet Hello, Sunshine kit. Notice how she spread one single photo over two squares in the lower left corner. The page formulas can easily be adapted to whatever photos you have on hand.
Finally, the next layout features papers from the July Prism collection. What a perfect match for my cruise photos!
Tools, Tips and Tricks
My list of favorite tools is not very long. I can accomplish almost all of my scrapbooking goals with the items listed below. (Each one is linked if you'd like to stock up.)
• 12" Guillotine Paper Trimmer - clean, straight cuts with highly visible measuring grid; can cut small items; self-sharpening blade
• Accordion Pocket File - this starter kit includes printable instructions and a video tutorial to help you create the file and stay organized while using our system
• CS® Acrylic Grid Rulers - available individually or save with a value pack; perfect for aligning border strips, centering, spacing, and planning cropped photos; oh, and measuring
• CS® Bookbinding Glue with a Needle-tipped Applicator - perfect for adhering dimensional embellishments made of metal, fiber, paper or plastic; excellent for making dimensional or handmade book projects
If you enjoyed the process of using a page formula to create with materials in your stash, we have a library of additional formulas available for download. We focused on scrapbook pages during our mini workshop, but we have the same efficient system for card making!
Membership and Shopping
The #1 question I'm asked about joining is whether there is a minimum monthly requirement. There is not. I figure it's my job to earn your loyalty. In many cases, members find a good fit with us and maintain a membership for years.
We make every attempt to design collections that provide a great foundation for your photos, no matter the reason or season. We share a sneak peek prior to the shipment of every kit, and provide two shipping days each month just in case you want more time to decide. (You can choose to process your membership on the 1st or the 15th of each month.) Either way, you are always welcome to shop with us, even if you don't choose to join.
