The Book in a Faux Book Project is a fun way to start the academic year with a bit of learning! Sharpen or expand your bookmaking skills as you create a gorgeous book appropriate for gift giving.
I'll walk you through the project step by step with a detailed video tutorial. Take a sneak peek at the project . . .

The project kit comes with a 12x12" sheet of Folding Board, seven 12x12 Plains, four 12x12 Prints, ribbon, instruction download, and the video workshop. The printed papers include one each of the Falling Leaves prints as well as the cutaparts to help you embellish the book.
You'll need basic supplies such as a trimmer, accordion pocket file, ScorePal, and adhesive on hand to complete the project. I also used items from my Falling Leaves stash to add dimension to my book, like the silk leaves, washi tape, and leaf-shaped die cuts.
Why is it called a "Book in a Faux Book"? The outer book is actually a cover with an accordion-folded frame in place of inside pages. The opening created by the frame holds a second, actual book. (Sort of like the Bible in Shawshank Redemption . . . if you've seen the movie. LOL.)
The inner book can be made using your favorite method, but in this case, we're featuring a unique glue-free book structure in which the spine can be completely removed, allowing the inner pages to spread out like an accordion. (See video above.) Did you see that? No needle and thread here.
The best part is that once you complete the initial project, any Club Scrap page kit will convert well into another book. Simply add a sheet of folding board, substitute the papers, and decorate with cutaparts and embellishments from the collection.
Order your project kit today; supplies are limited.
Lastly, if you are attending camp at Silver Birch Ranch this year, we suggest you wait to purchase this item.
