Gossamer Bonus Formula - Sketch

This two-page spread takes just four sheets of paper! To utilize the formula, gather four 12x12s in coordinating colors; trim according to the instructions. Arrange the cut pieces as shown in the finished page sketch. It's just like putting together a puzzle - only faster!

Gossamer Bonus Formula Layout

To recreate my layout, gather the following Gossamer papers: Card Kit Print (Paper A), Plum Plain (Paper B) and two White Plain (Paper C).

Note: In hindsight, I realized it's important to pay careful attention to the instructions when trimming the angled pieces. Had both Paper A and B been plains, I could have flipped/rotated the the triangles to match the orientation in sketch. However, since I chose a print (and trimmed differently than the instructions) my angled pieces had to be arranged a bit differently.

After dry-fitting the trimmed pieces, the plain white base papers looked a bit stark. The solution? Pair the dragonfly masking stencil with CS® Hybrid inks to create a gorgeous, custom background. Apply Amethyst and Fuchsia inks with an ink applicator brush to achieve a soft finish.

On the left page, crop a scrap of plain white to nest onto the small mat. Repeat the dragonfly stencil/ink treatment on the panel, then top with a silk flower.

Create your own journaling block with a white panel, grid ruler and pencil.

On the right, page, crop two vertical photos to fit the space created by the three rectangular mats.

How will you use the Gossamer Bonus Formula? Why not share your finished pages on the Club Scrap Chat group? We'd love to see your work!

Happy scrapping!
