Split Stamp Image Technique
This technique works best with larger image stamps that can act as a focal point on your cards. Panel size and trimming measurements may differ, depending on the size of the image and the size of your finished card. The tutorial below features October's Chocolate stamps and papers, and the finished card size is 4-1/4x5-1/2".
Chocolate Split Image Card
Position the large label image in a stamping platform. Stamp it onto a 3-1/2x4-1/2" white panel with Red Ink. Repeat with additional layers of ink as needed to achieve a clear impression.
Remove the panel from the stamping platform, and place it horizontally in the trimmer. Cut at 3-3/4, 3, 2-1/4, 1-1/2, and 3/4" to create six 3/4" wide strips.
Distress the edges of each strip with Earth Ink.
Adhere the strips to a 3-3/4x5-1/2" Red panel, leaving an 1/8" space between each strip.
Stamp a sentiment near the left edge of a small white panel with Earth ink. Wrap a length of red baker's twine around the panel several times, tie with a bow. Mat the panel with brown and red and adhere to card with the foam adhesive circles.
