Each time we release a special edition page kit, there is often an inquiry about a card kit, too. Sometimes we do create bonus card cutaparts and prints, but not this time. That said--EVERY page kit can be transformed into fabulous cards! Keep reading to learn more about how I adapted the papers in the Splash Page kit into a dozen fabulous greetings. And I still have enough paper to make more!
Splash Cards
EVERY monthly card kit instruction document can be recycled! Simply substitute papers from the new page kit with a past card workshop to make twelve cards. Add sentiments with modified cutaparts and/or your own stamped sentiments.
How To
One of my favorite recent favorite card sets is from Stained Glass. The format and style of the card formula made some really unique, yet easy to assemble structures. You can download the written instructions HERE. I recommend watching the Stained Glass video workshop for extra tips and guidance.
Utilize the following paper assignments for each step of the instructions:
- Step One: Blue, Lime, Teal, Fuchsia
- Step Two: Blue, Lime, Teal Fuchsia
- Step Three: Palm Tree Print
- Step Four: Hibiscus Print
- Step Five: White (Follow Cutapart trimming)
- Step Six: Additional 12x12 White Plain Required (Follow Cutapart trimming)
Finishing the Cards
Once the cutting and sorting is complete, it's time to "deal out" the trimmed pieces and dry fit each set of four cards. Before final assembly, add stamped artwork and sentiments (Beachcomber 05.25) to the plain white panels with Lagoon or India ink.
