Each month we present our artist team with different challenges. This month we focused on using wooden elements on pages, cards and projects.
This month's kit made playing along with this challenge super-easy, especially with the cool Wood Plant Stakes and Floral Wood Tags included in this collection. The nice thing about this challenge is you could take the "wood" idea literally or not so literally. I chose to do a bit of both in my layout.
Here's how to create a similar layout:
Use Ash ink and the Words Stencil to create repeating pattern on 12x12 Teal Plain. Emboss 4x12" Mint Plain with a wood grain embossing folder, ink with Ash to highlight the texture. Double mat photo with 4.25x6.25" Olive and green 5x7" digital hybrid quad print. Use 2" circle punch to trim round butterfly tag from digi hybrid printable. (Wood floral embellishments from my stash.)
Stamp "happiness" (Art Nouveau UM) in India ink onto Wood Plant Stake, tie with a teal ribbon.
