The third 2016 Retreat special edition kit was the Rock Star collection. Attendees received the kit as a gift after a "rock 'n roll" themed dinner Thursday night.

It's always helpful to see Tricia's assembled pages in the ALSB instructions and on the blog. But for me, the collections don't really come alive until I the pages ae finished with photos and journaling. Both Tricia and I were able to find photos that fit this collection well, so we split the pages 50/50, to share with you below.

ROCK STAR COLLECTION

Layouts 1 & 2

Photos from one of Emily's high school show choir performances are a great fit.

Layouts 5 & 6

Winter snowmobiling photos on Rock Star? Why yes, of course! Further proof the theme does NOT need to dictate the photos.

Layouts 3 & 4

The theme and colors of Rock Star were PERFECT for Emma's Homecoming pictures. I added letters die cut from Celebrate Silver Sparkle paper.

Attach Silver Star Sequins to the title strip with Rock Star Brads.

Layouts 7 & 8

Letters die cut from Black Plain complete the title for this layout.

Fussy cut the Cutapart "emblem" and adhere with Foam Adhesive Circles.

Kay even got in on the act with this layout featuring Marilee's marching band photo. I just love how Rock Star was ideal for our daughters' special events. The fun colors and funky vibe could be great with so many different photos.

If you haven't already, you'll want to pick up a Rock Star collection of your own before they're gone forever.

Rock on!
