Many of you have been highly anticipating our Paris Flea Market collection. It's finally here!
A NOTE FROM TRICIA
I'd just finished a make 'n take rotation at the Grapevine, TX expo and one of the guests got up and said, "Well. Thank you for changing my life forever." We all chuckled when she said it, but we knew she meant it. Our unique approach to scrapbooking does change lives! Not only that--we know Club Scrap has been instrumental in bringing together treasured friendships that will last a lifetime. We were delighted to welcome a record number of new members to our family at the expo. We're so happy you're here!
Be on the lookout for a few new re-mixes to hit the store soon. We've expanded some of our most popular collections from 2015 including Cantina, Transformations and National Parks. Each kit will be featured in our 2016 expo workshop tour, but will be available to you, as well!
WHAT'S AHEAD?
You'll be thrilled to know that we're welcoming talented watercolor artist Swarup Murthy back to the team to create the prints for April's Dahlia collection. The warm, bright color palette will help usher in the spring season. View more of Swarup's beautiful work on her blog, The Storyteller.
KIT AND COLOR DETAILS
We used a rather large assortment of fonts to design the collection including the following: Calwell, Penshurst, Parisianne, Diehl Deco and Clasica Stripe. Be sure to have the following Club Scrap inkpads on hand for stamping images to coordinate with the paper collection: Ash, Carnation, India Black, White Pigment, and Metallic Silver.
To identify the primary and secondary colors used in the digital design phase, save and open the color chip (shared at the beginning of the blog) in Photoshop. Take the following steps to learn about the color details:
1. Click on the "eye dropper tool".
2. Click within the desired color. 3. Click on the "color picker" swatch to reveal the color details.
Once the "color picker" menu is open, you will be able to see the RBG, HSB and HEX codes for that exact color. In this case, the Lt. Gray has an RGB code of R178, G183 and B187.
The photo frame stencil and paper lace mats included in this collection make page designing a wonderful experience. I'll share more details about the fourteen Paris Flea Market Deluxe layouts in tomorrow's blog.
The Greetings to Go set of twelve cards features a "tent-style" vertical card, a sweet and simple 4-Bar card, and a double-fold 5x7" card. If you're not already including this item in your monthly kit, we'll be happy to set you up with a membership or add-on at substantial savings.
I can't wait for this collection to arrive at your door. Be sure to share your kit "arrival photos" on Instagram or Facebook with #gotmykit. Adieu!
