The team here in Wisconsin is extremely eager for spring to arrive, but we don't have to wait for the weather to improve to enjoy some warmth and sunshine. We created our own with April's gorgeous Dahlia collection with the help of our talented guest designer, Swarup Murthy!

A NOTE FROM TRICIA

April is a busy month for us. We'll be teaching and exhibiting at the Milwaukee Scrapbook Expo on the 17th and 18th with Brenda, Karen, and Karen's good friend Edie. (If you've attended our Retreats, you've sampled Edie's homemade fudge. Maybe she'll bring some to help us survive those long days at the show.)

Next, we're holding our monthly Lite kit workshop in Menasha at 10am on Saturday, April 23. Then, I'll be back at the beautiful Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison on April 26 at 6:30pm teaching the Hold 'n Fold Art Journal, course number 20-23. We hope to see you!

WHAT'S AHEAD?

The Creative License theme has been tossed around by our design team for many years, and we're excited to take this one for a spin. This collection is the polar opposite of April's kit with a masculine style and cool color palette featuring a pop of rust and patina.

KIT AND COLOR DETAILS

The fonts used in the design of this collection include Modesty Fresh Style and Pink Bunny. Both can be downloaded for free at DaFont. Kay has already produced a huge pile of beautiful cards with the Dahlia kit. She used the following Club Scrap inks in her projects: Fuchsia, Tangerine, Orchid, Topaz, White Pigment, and India Black.

If you plan to create hybrid or digital designs with this collection, download the color swatch above, open the image in your favorite digital software, and review the steps shared in last month's post to identify the RGB color schematics.

Take a look at the fourteen pages you can make with the Deluxe kit!

The twelve Greetings to Go cards include some super-sweet ribbon and embellishments.

We'll be back on Monday with more helpful details about page and card assembly. See you then!
