I finished the Love Birds layouts with the remaining photos from my nephew's beautiful wedding, a friend's family trip to Portland, and an engagement photo shoot.

Check out the blog from the original release of this beautiful collection for lots of page assembly tips!

When finishing a pre-planned layout, add your favorite photos to the mats and supplement with additional images from the event. The photo of the wedding attendees was cropped to a narrow strip and added just above the perfect page title. (No mat required!)

I love the rose gold metallic washi tape included with this kit. And, I just adore this fabulous couple. They met with the pastor prior to the ceremony, but only back-to-back so Chase wouldn't see her dress until she walked down the aisle.

The captions paired perfectly for the wedding, but the original concept was developed to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Switching gears to a trip to Portland . . .

When using a craft knife to cut around an image on a 12x12 page, be sure to refrain from adding adhesive to the overlapping area so a photo can easily slide onto the mat.

I typically add photos to a mat with a 1/8" border on all four sides. In situations where the mats are smaller, I often shrink the reveal to only 1/16". Do do this, simply subtract 1/8" from the mat size to determine the photo size. (For example, for a 3x4" mat, trim the photo to 2-7/8x3-7/8".)

The photos from this engagement shoot for Beth Durie's beautiful daughter were almost 100% vertical. This page had spots for two horizontal 4x6 photos at the bottom. Check out how I adapted the space to accommodate three cropped vertical images. The center photo covers the gap between the mats.

Once again, note the smaller 1/16th reveal used for the cropped film strip style photos at the top.

I hope you find some of these page assembly tips for the Love Birds layouts helpful!
