I just love Club Scrap's project formulas! It's easy to transform any Club Scrap page kit into a beautiful handmade book with the Accordion Hinge Book project download. The project was first offered as a virtual workshop in 2020, but the book structure is truly timeless.
Flower Power Accordion Hinge Book
After completing the Flower Power Page Kit layouts with photos of my grandson, I realized how perfectly the June color palette coordinated with his baby paraphernalia - inevitably found in the background of most photos taken of him.
Since 90% of the photos I take feature a vertical orientation, I chose the Accordion Hinge Album as the perfect base for showcasing these memories. The finished book measures 5×7″ making it ideal for 4×6″ photos from a special event -- like Wednesdays with my grand!

The most intriguing thing about this book is the way the spine works.
Not only is it beautiful to look at, the unique construction is quite functional. The inside pages can also be removed, if desired.

If making the pages removable isn’t important to you, you can have fun adding mats and/or Cutaparts to the interior spine flaps for added interest.
This book has space for SO MANY PHOTOS! The spine allows for quite a bit of expansion, so you can really load it up with embellishments, too.
If you start to run low on mats, pick up a Flower Power Pack of Panels to supplement those in the Page Kit.
Trim Cutaparts to fit the height or width of the inner pages.
Embellish the cover with a trimmed Cutapart bordered with leftover paper strips. Adhere the "LOVE" Woodcut and Bottle Cap with Bookbinding Glue.
