Transform the 8.5x11 Quad Print from the Boardwalk Club Stamp kit into a unique pleat fold in a few easy steps.
Before we start pleating, take a moment to pin the image below to remind you that you want to try it!
DOUBLE PLEATED CARD TUTORIAL
Trim the 8.5x11 Boardwalk Quad Print vertically at 7.25; rotate 180 degrees and trim at 6". (This removes 1.25" from each edge and keeps the artwork centered.)
Measure and mark the short edges of the paper on the plain side at 2.5 and 3.5".
Measure and mark the long edges at 5 and 6".
Score the paper horizontally at .5, 1.5, 2, 3, 3.5, 4.5, 5, 6, 6.5, 7.5, 8, 9, 9.5 and 10.5".
Align the pencil marks along a paper trimming blade and cut to create a diamond shape.
Pleat the paper by making accordion folds along the score lines. Begin with the first .5" score and fold to the center.
Rotate the paper and make pleat folds to the center.
Adhere the pleated folds with a CS® Bookbinding Glue.
Adhere the pleated paper to a 4.75x6.75" panel trimmed from a second sheet of the Quad Print.
Nest the art panel onto a folded 5x7" Deep Blue card and embellish with a .75x4.75" strip.
Finish with a sentiment from the Greeting UM stamped onto the banner from the Art Nouveau UM.
While you're at it, make another!
And now your day will be com-pleat!
