Collage Stickers
Gather a variety of Club Scrap Hybrid Inks, stamps, and blank address label stickers* and let's get crafting!
Tutorial
Divide one sheet of thirty 1 x 2-5/8" address labels into three separate strips (ten labels each) with a paper trimmer*.
Place a single strip onto a padded work surface. (I am using a Club Scrap Grid Paper pad.)
Add a variety of images from the Cabana Stamps to acrylic mounting blocks. Designate a single ink color for each image.
Start with one image; ink and stamp it repeatedly onto the entire strip, making sure to rotate the image in different directions after each application.
Continue to add additional images and sentiments with different ink colors, overlapping them to create an authentic "collage" look.
Once the strip is filled with images the stickers, remove the stickers to be used as elements on your projects.
The finished size of each card below is 4.25x5.5", unless otherwise noted.
Cabana Card—Julie
Place a 3-1/2x4-3/4" Lt. Blue panel on the work surface. Peel a sticker from the backing sheet and adhere to the panel on the diagonal. (Be sure to leave a small gutter between each sticker as shown.)
Trim any excess sticker material and utilize the scraps to fill in open spaces on the panel.
Continue to add sticker material until the entire Lt. Blue panel is covered. Flip the panel to the back side; burnish with a bone folder to ensure proper adhesion.
Cut around the perimeter of the Lt. Blue panel with scissors to remove the excess.
Center the panel onto a 4x5-1/4" Dk. Blue mat; add to a folded Gold card base. Embellish with loops of white jute covered with a stamped sentiment to complete the card.
Boughs of Joy Card—Julie
Create a strip of collage stickers with Boughs of Joy stamps inked with Red, Spruce, Earth and India Black.
Add a row of collage stickers to a blue strip. Adhere the strip to an Ivory card base with a red nesting panel. Add a Dazzle sticker sentiment to complete the card.
Tunisian Tiles Card—Julie
Create a strip of Collage Stickers with Tunisian Tiles stamps (07.25) and a variety of inks; I used a mix of Red, Ocean, Sapphire, Earth, and Yellow.
Adhere the stickers to Blue and Red mats. Stagger the elements on an Aqua mat at different angles for interest. A simple matted sentiment completes the card.
Toile Cards—Lisa
Lisa paired Toile stamps with the swirl stencil (Serenity 09.12) and distressed the labels with colored mists. She used a variety of ink colors including Wine, Caramel, Lt. Blue, and Ash.
Card #1
Add a sentiment (Vines 08.24) to a die cut circle with Wine ink. Embellish with perfectly placed Dazzle stickers. Create a collage with a dry-embossed brown panel to complete the card.
Card #2
Mat each sticker with Black; round the corners with a punch. Position the sticker trio over a Brown anchoring strip (embellished with die cut flowers and ribbon); adhere with foam adhesive. Finish with a sentiment (Impressed 11.25) stamped with Wine ink.
Card #3
The collage stickers balance the "quilted" panels to perfectly frame the stamped sentiment (Vines 08.24) in Lisa's final card sample.
