Earlier this month, Tricia shared a clever card making formula to create three mini slimline cards from three sheets of paper. After watching her presentation, I was inspired to create a set of three holiday cards with matching envelopes using Woodland Christmas stamps and papers from my stash.

If you missed Tricia's original presentation, you can watch the replay on the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo YouTube channel.

Tricia's video workshop walks you through the trimming, sorting and assembly process. To make the cards, select three sheets of coordinating papers and trim according to the instructions. Sort the card bases and panels so each of the three colors is represented on each card. Decorate the cards with stamps (or cutaparts) and other embellishments. Follow the instructions to assemble the matching envelopes.

Let's take a closer look at each card.

Card #1

Stamp Woodland Christmas pine sprig repeatedly onto the large ivory panel using Leaf ink. Use a sticky note to mask the sled portion of the tree image. Ink with Leaf, and stamp onto the smallest light green panel. Add the sentiment with India ink. Stamp forest image (Pacific Northwest 09.20) onto the envelope using Spruce ink. Attach a red sequined bow (Surprise 01.18).

Card #2

Stamp sentiment onto the light green panel diagonally until the entire panel is covered. Stamp stag image in India ink onto the smallest red panel. Add sentiment. Attach the silver tree charm (Christmas Market 2019) to a black tag using Bookbinding glue; tie with 1/4" red organza ribbon.

Card #3

Stamp the sentiment diagonally onto the red panel using Red hybrid ink. Stamp bunny image onto the smallest ivory panel. Stamp sentiment using India ink. Attach a green sequined bow (Surprise 01.18) using Bookbinding glue.

I just love the sweet size of these mini slimline cards, don't you? As luck would have it, they are perfectly sized to hold holiday gift cards, too!
