Springtime in Wisconsin can be iffy, so this gorgeous Botanicals collection brings a certainty of blooms to the season no matter what Mother Nature has up her sleeve. Take that!

A NOTE FROM TRICIA

Expo season is about to begin, and that means we're busy packing class kits and booth items along with completing pages we've created over the past few months. If you have friends who want to scrapbook but are convinced they'll never find the time, be sure to share the efficiency of Club Scrap with them. Better yet, invite them to attend our workshop at the Scrapbook Expo in Milwaukee on April 17-18. A quick heads up: The long-awaited new Idea Deck is almost complete and ready to ship. It contains a perfect blend of 26 new layout formulas and 26 card recipes. Get ready to welcome a new tin of cards into your collection!

WHAT'S AHEAD?

Our design team was presented with an idea submitted by Andrea R. centering around "The Blues." We decided to run with it, but you're going to have to wait until spoiler time to see exactly which direction that was. Will it be the color palette, perhaps a musical reference, or both?

KIT AND COLOR DETAILS

The April font is Cardenio Modern and you'll be happy to know it's available as a free download. Digital members never have to wait for their kits to arrive. If you're eager to get busy and want to match up the colors our designers used for the collection, start with these RGB combinations.

COLOR R G B
BROWN R157 G113 B64
PINK R247 G196 B203
GREEN R199 G219 B210
YELLOW R243 G222 B155
LILAC R222 G200 B236

Stampers, get your inkpads ready! We've been using the following Club Scrap colors this month: Earth, Carnation, Moss, Orchid, Amethyst and Topaz along with our India Black and White Pigment inks.

The soft, pastel color palette is anchored and balanced by a rich brown tone. Jacqueline also incorporated deeper tone values into the artwork that will not compete with your photos for attention. Complete all fourteen 12x12 pages by following the assembly instructions.

This is the second month of our new Greetings to Go configuration of twelve easy-to-assemble cards. We're featuring a unique "tent fold" card this month. Consult the assembly instructions for more details and a brief how-to video. Remember, you can choose to include this option with any CS membership, or subscribe to the Greetings to Go Club on its own!

We'll be back tomorrow with more details about the layouts and cards featured in the Botanicals collection.

Happy Spring!
