The August Artist Team challenge was inspired by a new feature on Pinterest, the “Tried it” button. Team members were challenged to visit the Club Scrap Pinterest account, choose a Pin with a technique or tutorial to try, then make pages, cards or other projects inspired by that Pin.

LAGOON CLIPBOARD COLLAGE

Inspired by this pin, I created a clipboard collage to showcase photos from our recent trip to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Most supplies are from the August Lagoon collection.

Stamp "Seas the day" sentiment (Art Nouveau UM) onto Deluxe ribbon with India ink. Dab bookbinding glue onto ribbon ends to prevent fraying.

Use embossing folders to add texture to individual collage panels. Add embellishments, such as the mini glass bottles filled with beads and a Lite fish scale gem and setting. Bookbinding glue in a needle-tipped applicator makes adhering 3D embellishments a breeze!

Additional embellishments include a Crewel & Unusual wooden word, mini seashells, and Transformations twill ribbon and faux wood buttons. Use Lagoon digital elements to create the "DREAM" sentiment layered onto the bubble print panel.

You can play along, too! Choose a Pin and once your Pin-spired project is complete, click the “Tried it” icon on the Pin. Leave a comment about your experience and post a photo of your finished project.
