Create a beautiful gift of handmade jewelry tucked inside a matchbook holder created with the Club Stamp Lagoon Collection.
You're going to love this thoughtful and economical gift idea!
Jewelry Ideas
I fashioned a dangle with the Lagoon Club Stamp Sea Charm.
And check out this lovely pair of earrings made with the Lite Fish Scale Gems and Settings.
Simply attach earring findings to the assembled Fish Scale Gems.
Matchbook Instructions
1. Cut a 2.25x7" Lt. Teal jewelry holder insert and score horizontally at 3.5".
2. Fold on the score and pierce two holes 3/8" from the fold and 1" from each side of the zero center on an acrylic grid ruler.
3. Thread string or wire through holes and secure on the inside of the matchbook with a knot. Attach a dangle charm to the thread for gift giving. (No thread is needed for earrings.)
4. Cut a 2.5x8.25" Dk. Teal matchbook cover. Score horizontally at .75, 4.5, 4.75" and fold as shown below.
5. Cut a 2.25x3.125" mat from the Lagoon Quad Print, add a stamped sentiment and adhere to the matchbook cover.
6. Place the Lt. Teal jewelry holder insert inside the Matchbook Cover.
7. Fold up the .75" bottom flap and secure with a staple. Attach the staple near the bottom to leave room for the top flap to slide beneath the bottom flap like a matchbook.
8. Embellish with a Lagoon Shell Button.
9. Place the jewelry inside.
Tah dah! A quick and clever gift!
The matchbook dimensions will vary depending on the size of its contents.
I attached this adorable dangle to my purse. I'm glad several charms are included in the Club Stamp Kit this month. I can't wait to make more!
The next time you want to give the gift of jewelry, I hope you'll give this cute little matchbook project a try!
