Karen and I are in St. Louis (actually, Collinsville, IL) this weekend for the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention.

I'm teaching six workshops (three per day) while Karen holds down the booth with shopping and make 'n takes. For this season's inspiration, I consulted past layout cards and selected the one from Navigation. (If you're a member, you receive a downloadable layout recipe every month.) Here is the original layout sketch:

The page incorporates two 12x12 papers for the base, one 12x12 for border strips and photo mats, and one 8.5x11 paper. Next, I selected five kit options for the make 'n take. It is always interesting to see which one is the most popular choice at the convention.

Each layout pairing has a completely different look as well as a fresh arrangement of the page components. One formula . . . so much potential! If you're not a member, you can purchase useful layout recipe cards from the past in our digital store.
