Before we get started . . . I recently stumbled upon a quote by Shane Koyczn that says, "If your heart is broken, make art with the pieces." I'm not sure how your heart is feeling right now with everything going on in our country during this time, but for me, healing comes when I can create. I hope this beautiful collection will help you do that.

It's pretty overwhelming to think that this is our 253rd release. With 21 years of kit-making in the rear view mirror, we're still having a great time! Thank you for being part of that joyful journey with us.

We're featuring a brand new ribbon style this month, and the color couldn't be more perfect. To create an eye catching page accent, trim a 14" piece of the ribbon and secure the 1" ends on the back of the layout with tape. Next, form a bow and adhere to the stretched ribbon with a Glue Line or your favorite adhesive.

The adorable bronze star-shaped brads add a nice, low-profile element to this layout. For best results, use a grid ruler to pierce equally-spaced holes through the paper prior to adding the brads.

If you happen to have one of our blunt-tipped bookbinding needles handy, thread the jute onto the needle and sew the wood flag buttons onto the pages through pierced holes. The red flag shape was created from a small strip of "would've-been-a-scrap" red paper. What a great use of those smaller pieces! If you have the patience, tie the jute into a tiny bow prior to trimming the tails.

I think this is my favorite double page spread of the bunch. When I plan the pages, I'm never really sure how that last pair is going to turn out!

On the left title area, nest the flag cutapart onto a Red mat and tuck behind the strip at an angle. Next, wrap blue ribbon beneath the page title, and finish with three star brads and a button sewn to a red hand cut flag.

Finally, use the printed cutapart flags and newly-minted Ivory flags to create an adorable embellishment at the bottom of page eight. It worked well to stretch the jute fiber across the page and then adhere the pieces to the jute with bookbinding glue.

I love my Club Scrap family so much. Thank you to my incredible staff of hard-working individuals, and thank you to our loyal and generous members. We've made a lot of wonderful memories together!

God bless America.

Tricia
