This Upcycled Calendar will bring me months of joy and inspire me throughout the year.
Every December I receive a desktop calendar from my cousin who is in real estate. Each calendar page has a small photo of a home which is lovely, but I decided to customize it by adding colorful images from the Whimsy collection.
Upcycled Calendar
Measure areas of the calendar that include any unwanted artwork, photos, or text, and make note of the sizes. Club Scrap's 2x8" acrylic ruler is perfect for this project!
To cover the front and back of the easel, trim the Whimsy quad print at 6". Rotate and trim one 6x12 piece at 10 and 5".
Trim a cutapart sentiment; add adhesive only along the bottom edge. Adhere it to the bottom edge of the front of the easel.
The full size calendar page tucks nicely behind the top edge of the cutapart.
Trim the remaining print into twelve 2-1/8x3" pieces.
These were the only scraps left of the 12x12" quad print after the trimming was complete!
Cover the photos on each calendar page with the 2-1/8x3" pieces.
Although I absolutely adore how each page turned out, I decided that they needed "a little something". To jazz them up, stamp each panel with favorite sentiments from 2022's stamp collections with India Ink. See a few of my stamped calendar pages below.
