Create more Toile pages when you pair the Bonus Formula with papers and stamps from the September collection.
Toile Bonus Formula
Gather five plain papers from the Toile collection as indicated in the September Bonus Formula.
I utilized the following paper assignments: Dk. Blue (Paper A), Lt. Blue (Paper B), White Custom "Print" (Paper C) and two Gray (Paper D) serve as the base of the layout.
Custom "Print" Tutorial
Separate the White (Paper C) from the stack and place it onto a padded work surface. (I use my Club Scrap grid paper pad.)
Select the large floral stamp from the set and mount it onto an 3x14" grid ruler. NOTE: This ruler is 1/8" thick, as compared to the 1/2" thickness of most acrylic stamping blocks. The thin ruler helps me achieve a cleaner image on the first try. I chose to work with Lt. Blue, Sapphire, and Ash Inks. Begin stamping in the center of the paper with Lt. Blue Ink. Press firmly with the palm of your hand to ensure proper image transfer.
Rotate the stamp as you continue to fill the White paper with flowers. Leave spacing for additional stamped images. Remember to allow the stamped images to "fall off" the edges of the paper to mimic a "real" print.
Add the dragonfly images with Sapphire Ink.
Fill in the remaining spaces with the butterfly images in Ash Ink. Once the "print" is complete, it's time to cut the papers according to the instructions in the formula.
Trimming and Assembly
Trim and sort the 12x12" papers: Dk. Blue (Paper A), Lt. Blue (Paper B), and Custom White "Print" (Paper C).
Once the trimming is complete, refer to the sketch to dry fit the pieces.
Hover over the photo mats to determine the size to crop the 4x6" photos.
Choose photos that feature vertically oriented subjects.
Test run additional photos over the mats to ensure proper placement.
Crop the photos and adhere them to their corresponding mats.
Set the matted photos aside.
Distress the edges of all the accent "print" papers with Ash Ink.
Position the Dk. Blue border strip on the anchor "print" strip with the help of a 3x14" acrylic ruler.
Trim a 13" piece of gray ribbon with fabric scissors*.
Position the ribbon over the Dk. Blue strip and wrap the ends to the back of the border paper. Secure the ends with clear tape.
Trim a second piece of 13" gray ribbon. Wrap around the 1x12" Dk. Blue strip along the top of the right page. Adhere all of the pieces including the matted photos set aside earlier to the background papers according to the sketch.
Embellishments
Tie a small knot in the remaining piece of gray ribbon. Adhere over the cake stand in the photo with a Mini Glue Dot*.
Add two dragonfly images to a white panel with Sapphire Ink.
Fussy cut the images with scissors.
Trim two sections of Lace Embroidered Leaves from the Tie the Knot Special Release collection. Adhere all of the elements and two Embroidered Flowers to each side of the layout with Mini Glue Dots*.
Add journalling lines to the Lt. Blue rectangle at the bottom of the left page with a pencil and grid ruler.
