How many sheets of 12x12 paper does it take to make a Notecard Carrier filled with eight notecards?
Well, it depends. If you follow our handy instructions, it takes only seven. (Plus half a sheet of our nifty Folding Board to make a sturdy book structure and a set of hook/loop dots to close the flaps.)
The carrier features decorated inside and outside covers, a belly band, two 1/2" deep angled pockets, two inside flaps, and eight card bases with double nesting panels. Once made, you can stamp or decorate the cards as you wish. (This is where a page kit or card kit comes in really handy!)
If you're looking for something adorable, the Farm Critters Page Kit fits the bill. Here's a quick preview of the video workshop that will help you create the notecard carrier with *any* paper from your stash.
Additional Notecard Carrier Inspiration
A quick word of caution: making these carriers can be quite addicting. Once you start, it's very difficult to stop. Read on . . .
I recently used the Damask Page Kit and stamps to teach this project at a local scrapbook store. It was neutral and elegant for a wide audience.
If the cards aren't too bulky, there will be enough room for four A2 envelopes in each pocket.
I also created the carrier with our Aviary Page Kit. The giant wood button is the perfect addition to the outside band closure!
The stamps from the collection provide the perfect finishing touch on the cards.
The embellishments, ribbons, and cutaparts in the card kit are perfect!
Finally, I created a super-fun set with the Happy Camper Card Kit! I think this is my favorite.
It was so easy to adapt the papers and cutaparts into the carrier, plus I had additional papers to make even more cards.
