Texas Strong is a special edition kit we've been working on since returning from the Creating Keepsakes Expo in Houston. The landfall of hurricane Harvey just six weeks ago seems like a distant memory in the wake of everything that has happened since. Our hearts ache for those in Houston, Florida, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Las Vegas.

It is tempting to become overwhelmed by the great needs that face us as a nation. But we can do something. We've chosen to partner with the Houston Food Bank. For the next two weeks or while supplies last, $5 of the sale of each Texas Strong collection will be donated to provide funding to this worthy cause.

I would like to thank Janet Moran and Rita Braun for their patience and calm presence while we dealt with our own evacuation from the area on August 26.

Tricia, Janet, and Rita after setting up the booth on Thursday.

I am also grateful to The Woodlands Marriott for giving our booth supplies a safe home while we waited for normal shipping routes to be restored, to Robbie Scott for helping get those boxes routed to Arizona instead of Wisconsin, and to the Creating Keepsakes Expo team for making wise decisions about the show. The opportunity to teach workshops and meet many of you at our booth in Houston made the trip worthwhile!

Students in my workshop on Friday at 5:30pm!
Ready at the booth, which would be dismantled less than 24 hours after set-up.

Ann Diebel, thank you for all that you've already done to make a difference in the lives of those who have been affected in your area. Shona Gibson, you're in our thoughts and prayers as you sacrifice time with your family during longterm FEMA deployment in Houston. Let's take a look at this beautiful Texas Strong collection designed in short order by our very own Jacqueline Carney . . .
