Take Flight Pages - Assembly Tips
Create Custom "Printed" Paper
Gather plain papers from the Take Flight collection as instructed in the February Page Formula.
Select the Lt. Pink from the stack.
Place the paper on a cushioned work surface or Club Scrap Grid Paper Pad. Stamp the clock (White Pigment), key (Fuchsia), gears (Black India Ink), and wings (Lagoon) randomly on the paper.
Continue stamping until the entire sheet is covered with images.
Trim Papers and Assemble the Layout
Trim the three 12x12" papers according to the cutting instructions with the following paper assignments: Lt. Pink Custom Print (Paper A), Dk. Pink (Paper B), Dk. Blue (Paper C), and two White (Paper D).
Refer to the sketch to dry fit all of the trimmed pieces.
Apply Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator to the long skinny Dk. Pink accent strips.
Adhere to the background using a Grid Ruler to ensure perfect alignment.
Die cut clocks (Sizzix Timekeeper Bigz Die) from Lt. and Dk. Blue paper. (The Pack of Panels works great for this!)
Position the two die cut clocks over the empty photo mats. Before cropping, dry fit your chosen photos over each mat to ensure proper placement.
Draw light pencil lines onto one of the Dk. Pink photo mats. Use the Grid Ruler to ensure 1/4" spacing between each line for journaling.
Create a page title with alphabet dies and black paper scraps from your stash.
Add Bookbinding Glue (in a Needle-tipped Applicator) to the back of each letter.
Adhere the letters over the dove-tailed strips with a Grid Ruler as a guide.
