The Sunflowers Page Kit releasing today is an amalgamation of two past monthly kits -- Sunflowers and Oopsie Daisy. If it looks familiar, perhaps you were fortunate enough to snag the collection when it was remixed a few years ago. If not, today is your lucky day!
Be mindful this is a Special Release and will not ship automatically - even if you're a member. However, we're happy to add this collection to your next shipment. Simply place an order and choose the "ship with my next kit" option.
Sunflowers Page Kit
The sunflower traditionally symbolizes admiration, loyalty and longevity. Whatever the occasion, this collection is perfect for nearly any occasion! It will also be a perfect choice for one of our recent page kit alternative projects like the U-Hinge Book, Drop Spine Box and Mini U-Hinge Book, or Twin Tri-fold Album. (I wish I had more time to make them all!)
One tweak on the re-design is that all 12" border strips have text that can easily be trimmed into smaller sections for easy card and project adaptations.
We selected three ribbons, natural jute, die cut flowers, kraft scalloped tags, sparkly gems, and bronze sunflower charms for the goodies in this lovely box. (We had some extra die cut flowers available, sold separately if you want more!)
How about a quick video preview?
Read on to learn a little more about each double page spread.
Layouts 1 & 2
The foundation of the little collage on the left side of the page is a simple "rescued scrap" of brown paper nested with satin ribbon. Add a gingham-topped tag with foam adhesive circles, and finish with three yellow gems, a die cut flower, and fun cutapart border strip.
Layouts 3 & 4
Jacqueline designed a set of three circular journaling prompts. (Don't worry . . . our prompts only contain a few lines. A novel isn't necessary.) Simply cut the circle from the sheet and nest onto a Kraft tag. Wrap a small piece of satin ribbon around the top of the tag and secure the ends on the back. Attach the tag with foam adhesive. Next, tie a basic bow from the same yellow ribbon and attach above the tag with a glue line.
Layouts 5 & 6
This adorable cutapart shape reminds me of those fun holiday crackers. Simply cut v-shaped slits into the left edge, wrap four times with jute fiber, and tie the ends in a bow.
Layouts 7 & 8
The bronze sunflower charms we've added to the box are sweet and tiny, but that means the end loops are quite tiny, as well. For best results, test a needle for its ability to fit through the holes, and thread with jute fiber or waxed linen thread. Use the needle to get the thread through the loops to attach them to the cutapart.
There you have it -- the Sunflowers Remix 2.0. And I adore it just as much the second time around. I hope you do, too!
