Create beautiful cards with paper scraps. We all can relate—Club Scrap® fans have the urge to keep every scrap—our papers are that good. The solution? Why not try the Sunbeam Technique?

Gather your favorite Inks, stamps, a bundle of skinny paper scraps and let's get crafting!

The finished size of each card below is 4.25x5.5", unless otherwise noted.

Sunbeam Technique

Tutorial

To get started, gather 1/4" wide strips of Cottage Garden Yellow, Pink, Lt. Green and Dk. Green.

Position the strips onto a plain card panel in alternating colors to resemble the rays of the sun. Note: The panel can be positioned with either portrait or landscape orientation. I chose portrait for my panel.

Starting at the middle of the panel, adhere each strip with Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator.

Trim any strips that extend beyond the edges of the panel with scissors.

Embellishments

Stamp the trio of toadstools onto a white panel with Ash Ink.

Color with a variety of colors of Ohuhu Alcohol markers*.

Cottage Garden—Julie

Boughs of Joy—Julie

Pair the technique with a lovely layered accent panel and a stamped sentiment. Wrap the panels with ribbon and gold cord tied into a bow.

One Love—Lisa

Lisa paired the One Love special release collection with the Sunbeam Technique. I love how she added texture to the Red panel with an embossing folder. The sentiment is trimmed from the page kit cutapart.

We hope you will give this technique a try.
