Create seven sweet cards with April's Cottage Garden Stamps. Pair these whimsical images with the soft pastel hues of the paper from the collection.

I just want to take a moment to say how much I have loved creating stamped card samples each month. I started with the In Transit collection in October 2021 and it's been a fun challenge. Thank you to Tricia for entrusting me with this task over the past few years!

Cottage Garden Stamps

Looking for ink colors to pair with the Cottage Garden stamps that complement the April color palette? We recommend Lt. Pink, Leaf and Yellow CS® Hybrid ink. I also found Ash, Carnation and Moss coordinate beautifully as well!

Cottage Garden Stamped Cards

The finished size of each card below is 4.25x5.5", unless otherwise noted.

Card 1

Gather three 1x3" strips in Dk. Green, Pink, and Yellow.

Stamp the potted plant image onto each strip with a complementary ink color.

Moss Ink on Dk. Green
Yellow Ink on Yellow
Carnation Ink on Pink

Position the strips vertically at the top of a 4x5-1/4" White panel with a 2x8" acrylic ruler to guide you.

Stamp the sentiment at the bottom of the White panel with India Ink.

Slide a silver Mini Buckle onto Green Grosgrain and Yellow Silk ribbons as shown. Trim the ribbon slightly longer than the width of the White panel with Fabric Scissors*.

Wrap the ends around the back of the panel and secure with clear tape.

Adhere the White panel to the front of a folded Dk. Green card base.

Card 2

Stamp the large cottage onto a White panel with India Ink.

Stamp the sentiment in the upper left corner with Moss Ink.

Gather Tombow Markers* in complementary shades to color the cottage.

Adhere a 1x5-1/2" Pink strip horizontally to a folded Lt. Green card base using a 2x8" acrylic ruler as a guide.

Trim the stamped panel to 3-1/2x4-3/4". Nest the panel onto a 3-3/4x5" Dk. Green mat and center it onto the card base.

Card 3

Add the envelope image and sentiment to a 2-3/4x4" White panel with India Ink.

Color the artwork with Ohuhu Alcohol Markers*.

Trim the Pink Checked ribbon with Fabric Scissors* slightly wider than the stamped panel.

Wrap the ribbon around the panel and secure to the back with clear tape.

Center a 3-1/2x4-3/4" Yellow panel on a folded Pink card base. Position a 1x5-1/2" Dk. Green strip vertically over the Yellow panel.

Nest the stamped panel onto a 3x4-1/4" Dk. Green mat and adhere to complete the card.

Card 4

Add the mushroom images and sentiment to a 3x4-1/4" White panel with Ash Ink.

Stamp a single mushroom onto a White scrap; color all of the images with watercolor pencils*. Blend the colors with a waterbrush*. (Set the single mushroom aside to use inside the card.)

Add the large White panel to a 3-1/2x4-3/4" Lt. Green mat.

Nest these onto a 3-3/4x5" Dk. Green panel. Cut a piece of Pink Checked ribbon slightly longer than the height of the panels and adhere to the back with clear tape.

Trim a 3" piece of pink ribbon and place it loosely over the first. Wrap a short length of Yellow Silk ribbon around both pink ribbons; secure with a knot.

Cut the ends at an angle with Fabric Scissors*.

Adhere the layered panels to the front of the card.

For the inside of the card, fussy cut the single mushroom (created earlier) with scissors.

Stamp the sentiment onto a White panel with Ash Ink.

Adhere a 1x5-1/2" Dk. Green strip horizontally, using an acrylic ruler as a guide.

Adhere the sentiment to the strip as shown. Add Bookbinding Glue applied with a Needle-tipped Applicator on the back of the mushroom image.

Adhere next to the sentiment to complete the inside of the card.

Card 5

Stamp mushrooms onto a Pink panel with Carnation Ink.

Continue to fill the paper with images, making sure to stamp off the edges of the panel.

Distress the edges of the paper with Carnation Ink. Nest the stamped panel onto a 3-3/4x5" Dk. Green mat.

Stamp a sentiment on the right side of a 1x5" Yellow strip with Moss Ink.

Remove three flowers from the Floral Trim with fabric scissors.

Apply a dot of Bookbinding Glue to the back of each flower.

Adhere the flowers to the Yellow strip, left of the sentiment.

Card 6

Stamp the envelope image onto a 2-1/4x3-1/2" White panel with Moss Ink.

Color the image with watercolor pencils* and a waterbrush*.

Paint yellow details around the seams of the envelope as shown.

Stamp a sentiment onto Yellow paper with Moss Ink.

Mat the sentiment with Dk. Green.

Make a bow with Pink Checked ribbon.

Adhere a 3x5-1/2" Yellow panel vertically to the left side of a folded Dk. Green card base. Add a 1x4-1/4" Pink strip horizontally over the Yellow panel as shown. Position the stamped panel along the right side of the card. Glue a single Silk Flower left of the artwork.

Apply Foam Adhesive Circles to the back of the sentiment, adhere beneath the artwork, but overlapping the Silk Flower. Add the bow to complete the card.

Card 7

Stamp the mushroom, wheelbarrow and potted flower onto 1-1/2" White squares with Ash Ink.

Color the images with watercolor pencils* and blend with a waterbrush*.

Center the stamped squares onto a 1-3/4x5-1/4" Pink mat with 2x5-1/2" Dk. Green.

Place a folded Yellow card base into a stamping platform and add a sentiment to the bottom right corner with Ash Ink.

Adhere the squares to the nested Pink and Green mats, leaving a 1/4" between the first pair. Tie Green Grosgrain ribbon around the mats and secure with a knot.

Cut three individual flowers from the Floral Trim.

Add a dot of Bookbinding Glue to the back of each flower. Tuck them behind the Dk. Green panel to complete the card.
