As someone who loves all things text, I'm very excited to share the cards I made with the Literature Unmounted Rubber Stamps.
JUMBO UM
The Jumbo UM sheet features an awesome Alice in Wonderland collage, in addition to useful quotes and other literary images.
CARD #1
Center the collage image on an Ivory Panel and stamp with India ink. Color the title with a Yellow Pitt Pen. Use watercolor pencils to color decorative corners and rabbit's clothing. Apply low-tack painter's tape to create a 1/2" border frame, and a 2" round mask over the rabbit. Apply a combination of Sapphire, Topaz, Leaf and Ruby Hybrid inks with an Ink Applicator Tool. Stamp multiple collage images on a larger Ivory Panel and apply ink using the same technique.
CARD #2
Can you tell I really like that collage stamp? Carefully tear an Ivory panel into quadrants. Stamp the "LOVE" quote, books image, and Alice collage on individual sections with India ink. Add touches of color with watercolor pencils, and "age" with Earth Hybrid ink.
Adhere quadrants to a Bronze panel. Add an "aged" handmade tag with stamped "LOVE" sentiment tied with a charm and yellow waxed linen thread.
CARD #3
Stamp a row of books horizontally across a Brown panel with White Pigment ink. Use a grid ruler and white gel pen to draw lines to create "shelves". Finish with a matted stamped sentiment and red mini brads.
CARD #4
Create a little collage with the stamped catalog index card, stamped sentiment, vintage envelope, tiny price tag, paper clip and ribbon.
ART NOUVEAU UM
I love a good text stamp, and the Art Nouveau sheet has one I plan to keep at my fingertips!
CARD #1
Stamp the lion book plate image onto Ivory with India ink, color with watercolor pencils. Trim a Red mat with postage edge scissors. Stamp text image in Earth Hybrid ink on Ivory panel. Attach to Bronze panel using Kraft photo corners. Finish with stamped sentiments.
CARD #2
More masking on this one! Stamp text image repeatedly at an angle onto Ivory panel with India ink. Mask a 2-inch circle for sentiment and use Ink Applicator tool to color background with Topaz and Ruby Hybrid ink. Stamp sentiments on a separate white scrap, trim into strips and attach. Mat with Bronze.
CARD #3
The lion book plate image is so versatile!
For the card on the left, I stamped the lion in White Pigment ink onto a Brown panel. Stamp sentiment onto white scrap with Earth ink, trim into strips and adhere to card.
I couldn't resist using a craft knife and cutting mat to create a door that opens. Stamp lion book plate in Earth onto Light Kraft. Trim around door. Adhere Light Kraft panel to same size Ivory so door can be opened. Stamp "YOU CAN" into the door opening. Add highlights with a white gel pen.
GREETING UM
The Greeting UM makes card making so easy!
CARD #1
Stamp "Thank You" multiple times onto Ivory panel in India ink. Use a craft knife to trim around select images to create a channel for the strip made from Light Kraft plain and red ribbon. Add red mini brads and attach to a Red card base.
CARD #2
Sometimes simple is best! Create a two-tone panel using Light and Dark Kraft, mat with Red. Stamp sentiments and round WONDER image in Earth ink. Fussy cut WONDER/IMAGINE image, color with watercolor pencils, adhere to center.
CARD #3
Think outside the box...the decorative corner stamp isn't JUST for corners!
Decorate the front of Ivory panel. Flip over to the reverse side, stamp decorative corners back to back centered along the long edge. Trim with a craft knife, fold back, and fasten in place with Foam Adhesive Circles.
Highlight with Ruby and Topaz inks, embellish as desired.
CARD #4
Stamp the decorative corner image in a diamond/argyle pattern onto Red panel.
BOOK MARK
Create a unique and beautiful bookmark. Trim Light Kraft to size and mat with Bronze. Stamp each corner with decorative corner image. Stamp sentiment onto white scrap, trim into sections matted with Red. Add ribbon to finish.
