We had the privilege of sharing Club Scrap in workshops and during our make 'n take at the Scrapbook Expo in Irving, TX, last weekend. We welcomed many new members to the family and look forward to seeing you here and on our Facebook group page. If you haven't already, be sure to join us there!
I want to extend a special thank you to Lisa D., Tracey V., Kim R. and Jane M. who graciously helped us at the show in Irving. Jane was willing to help us transport remaining boxes at the end of the weekend, but she managed to arrange for our packages to be picked up directly from the expo center on Monday morning. Score!
Our next expo has us driving to the Detroit area for the Great Lakes Mega Meet in Novi, MI, on May 10, 11 and 12. We made 270 workshop seats available and have only 20 left. See you there!
As we continue to release special edition collections and popular favorites from the past, please note the page assembly instructions for these kits are not available on the "instructions" tab on our website. You will receive a special email confirmation with your purchase that includes a link to the instructions. We have also started including the link to the instructions right in the kit packaging, so check there, too!
Fonts and Inks
We used Eras Light for our basic, sans-serif font this month complemented by the brush style City Lights font (available for purchase.)
The various shades of blue paper in the kit are well suited to our Sapphire ink. Club Scrap's Earth, India Black, and White Pigment are always a safe bet!
What's Ahead?
We've had numerous requests for a kit featuring the flower famous for its relaxing scent. Its buds are used in the making of food, essential oils, sachets, scented waters, honey, and more! May's Lavender Fields collection is in its final design phase, and it's gorgeous! Jacqueline shared a photo of her art medium of choice as she began to sketch artwork for the kit.
Shibori Page Kit
I plan on having a creative day with my Shibori stencil included in the page kit. It has so much potential! The pattern measures 6x6 and is perfect for watercolor crayons, inks, mists, gel printing, and more. We can't wait to see what you create!
Shibori Card Kit
The batch of twelve cards made with the card kit is very approachable. Regardless, remember to tune into the video tutorial included with your membership for helpful assembly information. Card Set A has a decorative element that appears to be recessed within the front flap of the card. It's a cool effect!
