We're still wearing our winter jackets to the Club Scrap warehouse, but the Daffodils Collection gives us hope that spring will arrive soon!
The sunny color palette will make you smile! When working with the collections and instructions, be sure to note the difference between the brighter "yellow" tone and deeper "gold" shade.
A Note from Tricia
Plans for our 2018 expo season are in full swing. Our team is preparing our workshop line-up, booth make 'n takes, and travel arrangements. We are on a vendor waiting list for Minneapolis and Denver, but we hope to confirm those dates soon.
While we'd love to attend every show available, it is necessary to balance our expo itinerary with other Club Scrap events, work deadlines, and personal/family schedules. If we're missing an event in your area and you want to repeat an enjoyable workshop experience from a past expo, look no further than my new page kit and card kit assembly videos included with your monthly membership. I'll teach the class right in your living room! See you this month in Grapevine, TX! Registration is open now.
Fonts and Inks
We purchased the following fonts for use in designing the Daffodils collection: Devious and DreamyScript. We love the wonderful combination!
Kay selected her favorite CS® ink colors for the kit, and they include Leaf, Moss, Topaz, Earth, White Pigment and India Black.
What's Ahead?
Our very own Karen Wyngaard presented a passionate request for the now-trending Shibori art style! Shibori is a Japanese resist dying technique dating back to the 8th century. Indigo was the main die used, producing beautiful textile patterns in gorgeous shades of blue which we will re-create for the April collection. We can't wait!
Daffodils Page Kit
Isn't it lovely? Incorporate this gorgeous laser cut word into the first layout in the 8-page set.
We sourced these fluffy, yellow organza flowers that come sewn onto a 1" piece of tulle. Separate them into individual flowers and embellish away!
Daffodils Card Kit
This adorable stand-up card structure folds flat to mail easily in a standard A2 envelope. Once you learn how the card is constructed, you'll be able to replicate the measurements and make more from your stash of paper on hand.
Page and Card Kit members, you will receive an email on your kit's shipping day that will include links to all of the instruction downloads, video workshops, and a bonus page formula. Don't forget to consult these helpful resources when your kit arrives.
If you aren't a current Page or Card Kit member, we'd be happy to help determine the best kit club for you! Give us a call at 888-634-9100 or email info@clubscrap.com, and we'll help navigate the options. Wishing you sunny and warm days ahead!
