AUGUST BONUS PAGE FORMULA

Even though my daughter graduated in May, her senior portraits* still needed to be scrapped. To remedy the situation, I paired the August bonus page formula with Ivy League papers and a few embellishments from my stash. After following the written instructions from the download, use the sketch as a guide for assembly:

I followed the sketch pretty closely for this layout, only adding a Daffodils Lovely woodcut and journaling cutapart.

Because Emma is such an avid reader, we shot some of her portraits at the local library. The White Library Print was perfect. Because of the orientation of the print, I altered the arrangement from the original sketch.

I added a journaling cutapart with a Literature bronze book mark attached. Then I thought, what if I transformed the trio of rectangles into card catalog drawers? Trim three tan plain panels (use HPOP or scraps) to 2.5 x 3.5". Ink edges with Sandstone Hybrid ink. Center an Adirondacks bronze frame onto each panel, attach with brads. Adhere to the 3 x 4" tan panels with foam adhesive circles to create dimension.

Another four pages scrapped! I think both layouts turned out nicely. It's hard to tell the same page formula was used because of the difference in paper and arrangement of the cut pieces.

Have you tried the bonus page formulas yet? I'd love to hear what you think. Better yet, share your creations on the Club Scrap Chat group on Facebook.

Happy scrapping!
