Create amazing inky artwork featuring the Ivy League Stamps. I paired the images with the Scrollwork Stencil to create a tag and wall hanging. I even made a card for the sketch challenge on the Facebook Chat Group.
Ivy League Stamps
Tag Tutorial
Spread homemade texture paste through the stencil onto a shipping tag with a palette knife and set aside to dry. Clean the stencil immediately after use.
Add Sapphire, Spruce, Sandstone, and Mahogany hybrid inks to the tag and blend colors together.
Add the math script image with Permanent Jet Black ink. Tip: Attach the unmounted stamp to fingertips instead of an acrylic block. When pressed onto the tag it will create a partial image. Press fingertip into the black ink and rub over the surface of the stenciled image to create shading.
Stamp the fleur-de-lis image with Versamark ink. Sprinkle with silver embossing powder and heat set to melt.
Stamp the wreath image in Permanent Jet Black ink onto white paper. Color the image in Sapphire, Mahogany, and Spruce ink with a water brush.
Finish the tag with a trimmed sentiment, fibers, and a Fleur-de-lis Charm.
Wall hanging Tutorial
Spread homemade texture paste over the stencil with a palette knife onto mixed media paper. Remove the stencil and wipe away excess paste immediately. Set aside to dry.
Spritz the panel with water. Mist over the stenciled image with Pink Lemonade Memories Mists.
Stamp the math script image randomly around the stenciled artwork with the fingertip technique.
Add the banner sentiment with Permanent Jet Black ink. Ink the stamp again and create a second sentiment on a piece of plain white paper.
Fussy cut the banner with scissors.
Adhere dimensional adhesive squares to the back of the banner and align it with the first stamped sentiment.
Layer the artwork onto To You With Love Pink Vellum (note: I added a piece of white paper behind it to show its true color.) and Ivy League Burgundy panels.
July 2018 Card Sketch
Just for fun, I thought I would share my version of this month's card sketch challenge. The stamped layered sentiment is nestled behind paper flowers and plaid ribbon.
Run the Burgundy strip through an embossing folder (Tin Tiles Damask) and add ink to the raised bits.
Don't forget to participate in this month's challenges. See you on the Facebook Chat Group!
