The Rustique Page Kit is one of those kits that we fondly refer to as a "photo eater". The gorgeous color palette and versatile artwork coordinates beautifully with almost any occasion! I'm still working on photos from our trip to the Maldives, and it turns out the September pages were an excellent match.

Rustique Page Kit

Every monthly Club Scrap Page Kit creates eight fully-embellished pages. I rarely use all of them for a single occasion or event, however, the September layouts were perfect for documenting a variety of memories from our trip to the Maldives last year.

Finished Layouts

Let me start things off by telling you: I did a thing. Yes, I rearranged a couple of the pages—veering a bit from Tricia's original pairings. I only swapped two pages, but the resulting layout pairs fit my photos much better than the original. And, since all eight pages coordinate so well, you'd never really notice the difference.

Layout 1 & 2

The first two page spread is made up of Layout 7 & 2. I already scrapped most of our daytime beach and pool photos on the Cabana layouts earlier this year, so these memories are from other activities, including our dining experiences at the resort.

Layout 3 & 4

I kept these pages together to commemorate our favorite after-dinner vacation hangout, the Bay Rouge. We spent most nights at the open-air beachfront lounge, enjoying a nightcap accompanied by warm ocean breezes.

Layout 5 & 6

This page pairing also remained the same. These photos are from our dinner at the resort's Maldavian restaurant, featuring traditional island cuisine. We were treated to a special Apéritif before dinner, served in a really unique vessel. The men were each provided with a Feyli (sarong) to wear during the meal. I could kick myself for not taking pictures of the guys, but we were trying to be respectful of the culture and traditions once we crossed the threshold.

On the left page, rather than trim three individual photos, two landscape photos were cropped to fit the space created by the trio of mats.

Layout 7 & 8

My last two page spread is comprised of Layout 1 & 8, and features random photos from other evenings spent on the property.

I just love the grungy neutral artwork and earthy hues of the September Page Kit. The finished layouts are much more versatile than you would imagine. I challenge you to find photos that wouldn't look amazing on this collection.

After trimming* and assembling the pages, it took me a just a little over an hour to select, crop and adhere the photos. I hope my finished layouts have inspired you! What memories will you scrap on the Rustique Page Kit?

We invite you to share your finished artwork on our Facebook Chat Group. Not a member of the group yet? Simply answer a few questions and we'll get your request processed in no time!
