September Bonus Formula
Members: Have you downloaded your copy of the Bonus Formula yet? If you're unsure where to find it, check your inbox. Members receive the member-exclusive email with important links to the page formula, instructions, video tutorials and more. It is sent to active members* on shipping day and looks like this:

Page Sketch
So much more than just a "sketch", the September Page Formula creates a well-balanced two-page spread from just FIVE coordinating 12x12 papers. This month's layout has space for tons of photos!
To get started, download the formula and gather the number of papers indicated on the gather list. Trim and sort the cut pieces according to the step-by-step instructions. Finally, assemble the finished layout with the sketch as your guide. Once you're ready, add photos and embellishments—it's easy AND fun!
September Bonus Layout
To recreate the two-page spread below, gather the following papers from the Rustique collection:
- Paper A = Rust Print
- Paper B = Brown
- Paper C = Orange
- (2) Paper D = Teal
Once the trimmed elements are adhered to the base papers, it's time to add photos and embellishments. The September color palette paired perfectly with photos from our trip to the Maldives last year, and these pages supplement those I scrapped from the Rustique Page Kit.
This two-page spread features gorgeous photos of the sunrise on the morning of our departure. We had to pack up before dawn and board the high-speed boat ride back to the main island and the airport. I must have taken three dozen photos during that 45 minute ride—it was difficult to narrow it down to eight favorites.
The "hello, sunshine" woodcut (from my stash) fit best on the right page, so I swapped the two pages in the spread. The six mini mats are designed for individual photos, however, I chose to crop a single photo to span the space created by each pair.
March 2026 Page Formula featuring Rustique Papers
I couldn't resist making one more layout with the September collection, so I went to my binder of printed monthly formulas and chose one from earlier this year. Now I have two more pages that coordinate beautifully with the others!
This formula is created with six sheets of paper. To replicate my layout, make the following paper substitutions:
- Paper A = Rust Print
- Paper B = Teal Print
- Paper C = Brown
- Paper D = Teal
- (2) Paper E = Tan
I pretty much followed the original sketch when assembling my layout. I know it's not common to use two prints, but I love how beautifully they coordinate in this case.
I still plan to add journaling, however, I kept the embellishments to a minimum—two door knocker stickers from the Hardware Dazzles sheet on the pair of square mats on the right page.
