Have you marked your calendar for June 11? We'll be introducing a new, stitch-free book structure with May's Peony kit on the VOLUME Facebook page or YouTube channel. Sub any of your page kits to create this delightful book. Be mindful that I only have 30 minutes to cover this project, but you'll need additional time to complete it on your own. You can purchase a VOLUME Craftalong Kit that includes a sheet of mat board, the Peony Page Kit, Bookbinding Glue, brush, needle-tipped applicator and printed instructions. Next, on June 19, we're participating in the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo's @Home Classic! If you're keen on learning basic book stitching skills, join me for a quick tutorial on preparing and stitching page signatures with spacers. I only have twenty minutes, but I'll do my best to impart what I know. The workshop will teach you how to create one beautiful book from a single Club Scrap® Page Kit. Grab a few sheets of our new 12x12 mat board for future bookmaking projects. You'll need just one sheet for the 6x8" book shown below.
What's Ahead?
Our whole team is buzzing with excitement about next month's collection, Let it Bee. We tasked Jacqueline with creating artwork featuring the adorable honey bee rather than the menacing yellow jacket, and she accomplished her mission. You'll love the warm color palette, paper textures, and sweet artwork in the July kits! It's going to bee wonderful.
Fonts and Inks
We know some of you like to create titles and captions to coordinate with the fonts used in the collection. Our primary Regatta selections include Mary Jane and Covington. And if you want to plan ahead for your next stamping session, locate the following CS® hybrid inks: Red, Sapphire, Lagoon, and White Pigment. (I also discovered this week that Ocean looks nice with the Lt. Blue!)
Regatta Page Kit
Our kits help bridge the gap between wanting to be crafty, but not feeling creative. Follow along with our instructions and video workshop to make eight 12x12 pages with June's Regatta page kit. I adore this month's cards, and they'll be perfect for guy birthdays, Father's Day, grads, and more! Try your hand at kinetic card making fun when you create four pop-ups. Follow along with the workshop video, and you'll master the process easily. The kit also makes four "stand-up" cards and four slimline cards. Regatta Stamps
Create tons of cards with minimal supplies when you pick up these elegant stamps. Notice the circular "badge" shape with the criss-crossed anchors. Stamp the image and fill in the banner with a hand written or stamped sentiment. We've include three choices right in the set. I used a basic set of nesting circular dies to create a fun shaker card this month. Visit the blog later this month for more information on that . . .

In addition to our "physical" card and page kits, a $2.95 hybrid membership is the best deal around. Plus, you'll never have to wait for arrival. Your kit will always arrive in your inbox on the 1st of the month. Each sheet of artwork is sized to 8.5x11 and can simply be printed at home without any expertise beyond opening and printing a file. However, the more experienced among you have limitless creative possibilities!
