The Peony collection starts leaving the warehouse today, and it's a beauty. As the grip of winter eases in East Central Wisconsin, we are starting to see sure signs of spring, and our May kit is one of them!
A Note from Tricia
The May shipment rounds out our 21st year. It's almost inconceivable to think we've designed, boxed, and shipped 252 monthly collections (not to mention all those special editions, remixes, and projects.) I'm beyond grateful that we are still here and inspiring creativity in our community. We are blessed to be the beneficiary of so many great friendships and the facilitator of many more cherished connections between our members!
We are dedicating the Peony collection to our wonderful Club Scrap friend, Dottie Ferguson, who passed away on April 16. Dottie has been an enthusiastic and passionate member of Club Scrap for countless years. She promoted the club to her friends with joy and coaxed many into joining. When Dottie volunteered her time to help at expos, we knew we were in for laughs, great times, and a successful show. To spend time with her felt like I was spending time with my mom. She will be deeply missed.
Mark your calendar for our next online workshop hosted by Great Lakes Scrapbooking Events on June 11-12. I'll be showcasing a gorgeous handmade album structure that requires no stitching! The VOLUME event will be hosted at Facebook and YouTube. Watch for the official time slot to be announced. If you can't make it, the video will be available for replay once aired.
What's Ahead?
June's Regatta theme is going to be just what the doctor ordered if you're wishing for a classy, masculine theme. We've located some extra-special textured papers that include deep, rich jewel tones with a few complimentary blues. Stay tuned for the official unboxing spoiler (currently scheduled for noon central on Thursday, May 27.)
Fonts and Inks
The elegant font pairing in the Peony collection includes Husna Script and Arapey. The highly legible script includes many interesting glyphs, and the serif provides a classy complement with its lovely upper and lower case style. If you're looking to match inks with your papers, pick up the CS® Leaf, Fuchsia, Carnation and White Pigment pads.
Peony Page Kit
In addition to the gorgeous 6x6" masking stencil included with the page kit, you're going to love all of the ribbons and embellishments added to the collection. As always, take a few moments to watch the video workshop provided with the kit. I'll include tips on how to use the stencil, how to measure and tear a print into strips and photo mats with the help of a grid ruler, and more! Not a member? Peony Card Kit
Stop back on Wednesday to learn more about the twelve cards you can make with the Peony Card Kit. I love the four "seed packet" cards. The clever criss-cross design requires NO craft knife skills. (Yes, I hear that sigh of relief!) The triangular scraps are put to great use on the four 5x7" single fold cards because #noscraps! Finally, the split fold 4.5x6.25" card is easy to make when you follow along with my instructional video. Don't miss the helpful tips and random advice shared during the workshop. You never know what might be new to you.
Many of you saw the spoiler/unboxing video and chose to add the card kit to your shipment. Yay! Our new online system makes it easy to include the card kit within the "manage subscription" area seen after logging in.
To add the card kit, choose "products in your subscription," then "add products," and select the card membership. Once you see the item appear, click the blue "add to existing subscription" button. (The orange "add to cart" button will initiate a separate membership with separate shipping charges.)

Peony Stamps
You can practice your "add to existing subscription" skills by making sure you receive the stunning Peony stamps, as well! I had so much fun creating this initial batch of simple cards using minimal supplies. I'll share details and tips about each individual card on the blog later this month. If you get a chance to play, be sure to post your inspiration in the Facebook Chat Group!
Peony Hybrid
Last, but certainly not least, is the ultimate icing on the cake -- the Peony hybrid kit! Give yourself the ability to simply download and print images and elements from the collection and use them for additional projects. A membership is just $2.95 and always arrives on the 1st.
